A 4kW heptane pool fire was simulated. The numerical setups feature a turbulence-resolved grid, a 33-species chemical kinetic model derived from the HyChem approach, and a Monte Carlo Ray Tracing (MCRT) solver with line-by-line (LBL) spectral database.

The emissive power spectra are extracted from the simulation and compared with experiments (Klassen&Gore, 1992). Good agreement in the distribution of wavelengths and intensities is observed.
